Role

Domicile is seeking a part-time barista with cashier experience in the Brooklyn area! They pride themselves on their warm welcomings, customer service, cleanliness and attention to detail.

Daily responsibilities include opening procedures (putting out the pastries, labeling the pastries in the cabinet, brewing coffee, turning on lights and music, putting out signage), downtime procedure (sweeping, restocking, wiping down tables and ottoman) and closing (tossing any leftover pastries, taking out the trash, taking out the recycling to the basement, restocking paper products, sweeping and mopping, wiping down all the furniture and cleaning the windows).

Requirements

  • Certified in Food Protection by NYC Dept of Health and Mental Hygiene

  • Available for weekends

  • Skilled in latte art and pours - they require dial-ins every morning and throughout the day during downtime

  • Professional and ON TIME - they have a 0 tolerance lateness policy

  • A quick learner and ability to predict / prepare for daily rush

  • Able to attend the required training course with their roasting partner in Ft Greene

  • Comfortable working alone and effectively manages own time when it comes to maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas while overturning the queue

  • Able to arrive minimum of 15 minutes early per opening shift and stay 15 minutes late to properly close

  • Interested in fine art, architecture and design

  • Open availability / occasionally on call

Salary

Salary is $11/Hr plus tips to start, after 3 month trial period $12/Hr plus tips
