Teranga is a new cafe and restaurant focusing on Pan-African cuisine and African coffee in New York City. Their goal is to provide a unique experience with an emphasis on tasty, healthy products all from the continent of Africa. Their head chef and co-owner, Pierre Thiam, is an award winning chef from Dakar, Senegal, with restaurants in West Africa.

Teranga is looking to add a Full-time barista to their team!

Responsibilities

  • Take orders and other aspects of café service

  • Equally comfortable working alone & with a team

  • Consistently produce quality espresso beverages quickly and under pressure

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in specialty coffee

  • Latte art skills required

  • Passion for coffee

  • Have a passion for personalized customer service

  • Extensive barista experience in making quality espresso beverages, including dialing in, maintaining consistent espresso extraction and experience in batch brewing
