Saltwater is an Australian-style cafe opening in the East Village very soon, and they are seeking both full-time and part-time baristas to join their staff and help them get the shop off the ground.

Bushwick Grind is a vibrant community café observing the third wave movement of brewing exceptionally sourced and roasted coffee. We offer high quality, healthier breakfast and lunch menu options in an environment that fosters a social experience organically developed by our diverse guests.
Bushwick Grind baristas are responsible for preparing high quality coffee and teas following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques consistent with specialty coffee industry standards. He or she will serve food and beverages with friendly, individualized attention while educating guest about our products.
-Ensures guests are educated on our menu options
-Maintains the highest quality, consistent product standards
-Follow Bushwick Grind’s drink recipes and procedures
-Develops an understanding of coffee and tea regions and the various differences in flavor and blends we server
-Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes; maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and coffee bar.
-Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading coffee, retail trade, and food service publications; maintaining personal networks.
-Enhances coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
-Greets all customers with fast, friendly, personalized service and develops a rapport with customers by learning their names, favorite drinks and food items.
-Accurately rings sales orders into cash register
-Answers customer questions regarding coffee blends, preparation, and product freshness.
-Weighs, grinds and packs coffee per customers’ orders according to Company guidelines.
-Maintains efficient, friendly service.
-Restocks shelves when necessary.
-Routinely cleans the bar area, floor, windows and grinders, and takes out trash, etc.
$12.00 - $14.00 hourly based on skill and experience
